God

I'm grown up in mix family. My father was a Christian and my mom is muslim. Half of my family are Christian and half of my family is Moslem. And they are not kill each other...lol
In my point of view, religion is private matter from one individu  to their own believe. To their own god. You think god more than one ? I believe to every  person yes, because every people has diffrent imagination or diffrent image about god. Sometimes I imagine....,god see so many people killed in the name of god and do war...sometimes i imagine god will laugh see those person. See we killed and hurt other person in the name of god.
I read this book, about actually we create our own god, not god create us. It's a believe. It's diffrent believe but it's still a believe. It's better to believe something then we don't believe anything.
Country gave us freedom to choose our religion and to choose our god. And people should respect that. People should respect what other people believe. Cause in the end, it's the matter of that people to their own believe.

Violation of Human Rights

‘”This island of Java in the last months of 1965 was the scene of one of history’s worst orgies of slashing, shooting, chopping violence. Thousands of Indonesians who were members of the Communist Party, or who supported it, or who were members of the Communist Party, or who supported it, or who were suspected of supporting it, or who were said by somebody to have supported it, or who were suspected it, were put ruthlessy to death. In the mayhem, people innocent of Communist affilitiations were killed too, sometime because their old enemies were paying off grudges in the guise of an anti-Communist campaign...”

            “ In Central Java the army seem to have excercised broad control over the blood bath, although many civilians were also recruited to kill Communists. In East Java, the mass execution of Communists was lagerly handed over to civillians, mainly the black-shirted Ansor youth of the Nahdlatul Ulama, who killed with fanatical relish.”

            “ No trials followed the mass arrests. Punishment was arbitrary and without appeal. Prisoners’ names would be checked off against informations supplied by informers. Those guilty of Communist affiliation were marked for excecution. Usually at night, the army trucks would rumble up, and the doomed men would be driven a few miles out of town to some discreet spot chosen as the place of excecution. Sometimes local villagers had already been ordered to dig big pits for the bodies. At other times, the prisoners themselves would be set to digging their graves.”

            “Then they would be killed. If the army was in charge, death usually came with a volley of gunfire. But often the army would hand over batches of prisoners to anti-Communists groups. Then execution would be usually by knife or the broad bladed sickle used by many Javanese for work in the fields. Many Communists were kneeled, thumbs tied backs, on the brink of they graves”

            John Hughes wrote his trip to Java Island and describe how terrible the condition in that time. The members of Comunist Party got blame to what happened in G30S/PKI. They got arrest and some of them got killed. The numbers still unknown until now. But some people believe that the numbers of the victims more than 80.000.

            Many of them not get the right trials that they deserve. As a citizen of Indonesia, they still have rights to get justice. As a human, they really have rights to get justice. And after a long time, few of them still ask for the justice that they deserve.

            Few of the victims are girls. In their camp, they being raped and got inhuman treatment. And they not get fair legal system until now.

            In 1945 Constitution of Indonesia article 28I :

1.      The rights to life,freedom from torture of thought and conscience, freedom of religion, freedom from enslavement, recognation as a person before the law, and the right not to be tried under a law with retropective effect are all human rights that cannot be limited under any circumtances. 

2.      Every person shall have the right to be free from discriminative treatment based upon any grounds whatsoever and shall have the right to protection from such discriminative treatment.

 

 

In the book of “ The woman voice of tragedy ’65 victim” ( Suara Perempuan Korban Tragedi ’65) by Ita.F Nadia we can found that even after became prisoner for a long time, few of the victim still not get the right treatment from society. They can’t work in goverment office, few of them can’t live in certain places because the society don’t want to accept them. Some village don’t want to accept them because afraid their village will not in peace if one of their people is ex tapol or ex prisoner.

      In Andy Omara journal the title is Between the Past and the future : Is Revealing the Past Human Rights Violations Necessay for Indonesia’s Future ? said that :

      “Aside from the succes in establishing infrastructures, both the New Order government and the previous government, in certain extent, failed to respect human rights. Human rights violations occured during these periods. Prior to the New Order era, there was an extraordinary case which was popularly  called 30th September Movemnet. This was basically about the ‘filed coup’ of 30 September 1965 which,was allegedly carried out by The Indonesian Communist Party (PKI). However, the truths of what really happened in that period still remained mistery.”

      “ During the New Order era, human rights violations continually occured. The New Order governement wanted to suppres the opposition. In doing so, it frequently used the military. The Involvment of te militry in preventing such opposition was the beginning of human right violations.”

 

      Not just the victims who got the effect from this case, but also their family. Even their family not involve in this case, but they still experience discrimination. Government role in this case really important because in our constitusion, our highest law, they still have obligation to protect them.
